J. S. SCOTT BUSBY

Scott has dedicated his over-30-year career to resolving complex litigation matters. Scott is admitted to the Georgia and Florida Bars and appears in district and appellate federal courts throughout the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He has been recognized by his peers as a SuperLawyer the last several years and has been AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbel for over 20 years.
Scott has extensive experience in litigation involving both sides of personal injury, insurance, employment, construction, trucking and a variety of other areas. He is knowledgeable about local and state government matters and represents local governments in many contexts. Most of all, Scott believes in handling all matters in a JUST manner, vigorously representing his many varied clients.
In addition to his law degree from Emory University, Scott earned an M.B.A. from Georgia State with a concentration in finance, having worked as an accountant during his 5 years of graduate studies.Â
Scott is an Atlanta, Georgia native and attended The Westminster Schools. Scott and Dawn, his wife over 30 years, raised three children together.  Scott is proud of his parents who both retired after 40 years as officers/ministers in The Salvation Army, completing their careers as the National Commanders for The Salvation Army USA. Â
